Afterschool Services
We strive to provide PS 372 families with a fun, inclusive and affordable afterschool program that empowers and supports our children’s growing bodies and minds by providing thoughtful and engaged leadership that encourages play and friendship.
The Stay & Play! Afterschool Program is available to all students who attend The Children’s School at the 512 Carroll Street site (Grades PreK – 5). Stay & Play! separates students into groups by grade (PreK & K, 1st-2nd, 3rd-5th).
Stay & Play! runs every school day (not including half days) from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. The first day of Session 1 will be Monday, September 8th. You are able to enroll and attend Stay & Play! for as many days (1-5 days) a week as you would like. Drop-ins are welcome.
Pricing
Our afterschool program costs $37 per day per student for each session. There are three afterschool sessions for each school year. Prices per session will vary based on the number of days per session. Drop-Ins are $40 per day. Enrichment prices will vary by day and enrichment type.
Enrichment
Enrichment programs will be offered in conjunction with the After School Program. Students will be able to choose different activities each day that may include: science, art, dance, music writing, games, sports, crafts and more! You will need to select your class at the time of registration. After you have signed up for the after school program, you can select an enrichment option. The costs of enrichments varies depending on the class. Please note: there will be capacity limits for enrichment classes, which run from January 6th to April 11th.
Programming
Students in 1st-5th Grade have an hour of homework time and can choose between 1 of 3 activities. Those activities include sports like soccer and football, camp style games like obstacle courses, and our rec room where students can read, play board games or make art.
Our Pre-K and Kindergarten early childhood model is styled after a group play-date. This program encourages play and friendship with all. Children eat a snack from 3-3:30 pm, play outside, play in an early education classroom, enjoy a group book reading, and/or make a craft. As Early Childhood students do not have homework, there is no homework time – just Play! Play! Play!

Enrichment programs will now be offered in conjunction with the After School Program

FAQs - Stay & Play
How do I Pay for Stay & Play!?
You must pay by credit card during registration for any of our programs. Credit cards for Afterschool & Enrichment will be charged automatically either as a one time payment or in installments for each session you sign up for depending on your choice. The first payment will be collected the day you register.
Is there Financial Assistance for Stay & Play!?
If you require Financial Aid, you must reach out to the director PRIOR to registration. Our program director will reach out to coordinate the financial aid process which will include filling out some financial aid forms and approval by the board. Email afterschool@ps372pta.org for more details.
What Enrichment Options will be offered this year?
Enrichment programs will now be offered in conjunction with the After School Program. Students will be able to choose different activities each day from science, art, dance, music writing, sports, crafts and more! You will need to register separately and that information will be included at the time of registration. Please note: there will be capacity limits for enrichment classes.
Can I do DROP-IN for Stay & Play!?
We are able to accommodate drop-in students. We encourage you to register at least 24 hours prior to your drop-in. Don’t know which days you want? No worries, you may select days as you go which is a great option if you do not want to commit to every day during the session.
Will there be a snack provided during Afterschool?
Yes. All students are offered a D.O.E. provided snack. You are also welcome to send in a snack with your student. There are no nuts allowed.
What if my child has an I.E.P.?
If your child has an I.E.P., please make sure to note that in the medical and/or social/emotional notes section of your account. We will be sending home a HIPAA form for parents to sign allowing the after school director to receive information from the school regarding a student’s I.E.P.. This is very important as it will give the after school staff helpful information when working with children with certain needs.
What if my child has an Epipen/inhaler or other medical devices?
If your child has an inhaler/Epipen or any other medical concern, please note that in the medical section of your account. Please let after school know if your child carries a device or if there is one in the nurses’ office.
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
